  Narrative

They were married 1872 by Rev. Herman Sagehorn in Berlin Ontario. The spelling of her name was Adeloff. Father(?) Michael Adeloff was listed as a witness. Both were Lutherans. He was working as a Laborer.
They had an estimated total of 9 to 13 children. 4 children that died in infincy. 6 children died of scarlet fever within a few weeks, probably before moving to the United States. These may be the same.
Son Charles (Carl) was born in 1882.
Between 1882-1889 they moved to Detroit from Kitchener after Carl was born, but before Anna was born.
Anna was born in 1889, then Florentine in 1892.
In Detroit they were members of Bethlehem Evangelical Lutheran Church on McKinstry Avenue.
He could speak English, but couldn't read it, so his wife would read him the newspapers.
1900 - Was a car repairman.
He worked for the Michigan Central Railroad until he retired. Then he worked for the city of Detroit as a "White Wing" (street sweeper).
In 1927 Augustine died.

Narrative

Rudolph Wentzel was born in Germany, 1844 to Ferdinand and Willhelmina Wentzel. His German name spelling of "Rudoff".
On Dec. 13 1872 he married Augustine Adloff in Berlin Ontario.
He worked for the Michigan Central Railroad until he retired. Then he worked for the city of Detroit as a "White Wing" (street sweeper).
He died when Flora, his daughter & William Seiss where in Rhode Island and on Flora's birthday. His burial was on Nov. 22, 1918. At time of his death, he may have lived in Prairie in Detroit.
